The spirit of this beach home lies in its setting – bordered on one side by the blue Pacific, and on the other by a natural salt marsh with views to the Santa Ynez Mountains beyond. The constantly changing tides and flurry of wildlife are mesmerizing. While subtle and low-key on the outside, our clients wanted clean and modern interiors. They created this beach home as an escape from their busy lives running businesses and raising their son in Europe where they reside full-time, and wanted it to be a quiet backdrop for family time, paddling and surfing, and lingering dinners with neighbors and friends. Modestly proportioned spaces open to one another, as well as to the outdoors, to give the home the feeling of a much larger footprint.
