Santa Barbara Beach Folly
Hidden in a lush secret garden just out of view at one end of a 90-foot lap pool is the Santa Barbara Beach Residence’s “folly.” It’s a place to exercise, get a massage, do yoga, read, meditate, or relax after a swim. This wonderful open-air structure was designed by NMA, then hand-fabricated from solid teak by barefoot artisans in Bali, and shipped to California to be permanently assembled on site. The fishscale copper roof shingles are a nod to the nearby Pacific Ocean. Collaborations like this one always result in unique features tailored to our clients’ lifestyle!
NMA’s entire office is personable, knowledgeable and humble. From the principal architects to the project managers and draftspersons, you feel a sense of devotion, experience, and competence.
